Thanks Mike for teaching me how to drive.  I still can't believe that I passed first time with only three driving faults!!!  You were not only a driving instructor, but a friend who I could talk to as well and get along with.  You also helped me to gain confidence as well as to learn how to drive.  Thank you Mike for all the time you gave me, and the extra time, and for helping me to pass.  I would highly recommend you to friends and family!!!  Thanks again.

I really enjoyed learning to drive with Mike.  His attention to detail is amazing and he is always so patient.  He is really generous with his time and is so passionate about his job.  If you don't understand something he will explain it over and over again until you get it!  He always had such faith in me, and I just want to say a massive thank you to Mike for helping me pass my test.  I would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn to drive.  He's the best instructor anyone could wish for!

Thank you very much for taking me through the syllabus Mike.  Passing the test was a great experience and I didn’t realise beforehand how much of a challenge learning to drive would be.  Your calm and confident approach quickly put me at ease and during lessons I always felt I was in safe hands, even if you didn’t!!  I really appreciate your professionalism and commitment and I now feel that I am a much more responsible driver than when I first started, particularly when travelling at speed.  You helped me understand the risks on the road from a practical perspective and I am glad that I have had the benefit of your driving experience.  I’ll miss our lessons and our ‘putting the world to rights’ discussions!!

After a 6/7 year break from learning to drive I finally decided that I needed to bite the bullet and learn. Mike was recommended to me by a neighbour and came highly praised.  From the first lesson Mike put me at ease when I was behind the wheel.  Mike is highly professional, patient and determined to get you through your driving test.  I still cannot believe I passed first time and can only thank you Mike from the bottom of my heart.  Teaching learners to drive is a big passion of Mike's and I felt it in all my lessons.  I would 100% recommend anyone to learn with Mike, he is the BEST......

Soon after my test I picked up my parents from a restaurant in Rochester (in my own car) and my Mum said it looked like I'd been driving for years.

There isn't much I can say, but thank you for everything and for getting me through my test first time Mike!! The final motivational talk you gave me just before we arrived at the test centre ran through my head the whole way round the course, and keeping it safe and simple was great advice.

And finally, could I just say thank you for the times when you took your own time to help me completely understand something, and ran over time to finish a part of the syllabus so we could promptly progress. It's easy for anybody to see that this is so much more than just a job for you, so you deserve all of the success that comes your way!

For me it wasn't learning to drive which was the hard part.  It was finding the confidence to believe I could do it, which I struggled with.  Thanks to your patience and expertise I overcame this and passed first time.  Thanks Mike - You Are The BEST!

From the first lesson I took with Mike I felt at ease.  He is friendly and patient and a good listener.  As my lessons progressed I felt he was more of a mentor than a teacher and advised me on seeing things from a different perspective.  Some lessons I performed well and unfortunately some I did not but I never felt under pressure if I didn't get things right the first time.  I thoroughly enjoyed taking my lessons with Mike and found him to be a brilliant instructor and friend!  The lessons paid off as I passed my test first time with Mike in the car!!!!   If you're willing to learn and want the best result from yourself Mike is sure to get it from you!

Thank you for all your help with teaching me how to drive "the English way".  On the left side of the road, using two feet, and both arms doing more than just sitting on the steering wheel.  I appreciate all of your help, and still find it shocking that I passed on my first go.  There is a big difference between the 4-minute American driving test  in an automatic and a 40-minute British test in a manual, but you gave me the confidence to believe I could pass, and that I was a good driver.  I will never forget all the fun we had, together with my 'bad luck' scenarios, and I shall never forget you.  Thank you again Mike.

I had great fun learning to drive with Mike.  Our lessons were always interesting and expertly pitched to my level of skill.  This helped me to develop my confidence in driving.  When I had a problem with reverse parking, Mike went to great lengths to find alternative ways of explaining it and this level of commitment greatly helped in getting me through my test first time.  I am grateful for everything I have learnt; not just to pass my test but for safe driving in general.  The Mini is lovely to drive and always clean.  I will definitely be recommending Mike to my siblings and anyone else who is thinking about learning to drive.

I enjoyed driving the Mini, which was ALWAYS clean, inside and out.  Mike was very easy to get on with and always took time to explain things properly to me.  I always looked forward to my lessons and the time went by very quickly.  Mike always made me feel at ease.  I think that his lessons were also very good value for money.

 As an instructor Mike was patient and understanding, yet he always made sure that I developed at a good rate.  My progression was always his priority and he did not hesitate to extend any lesson into his own time if it meant I would build my driving skills to meet the lesson requirement.  I also benefited from the fact that Mike always allowed me  to underline any concerns and he would subsequently plan a lesson to combat these.
